AI sessions turn a recorded consult or dictation into draft clinical documents you review and finalise — nothing is saved to the record without your sign-off.

1

Open the patient’s Notes page and click AI Session. The AI Clinical Documentation page opens.

2

Link the session to an appointment so the generated notes attach to it, and check the Document Templates pickers — these control the structure of each generated document.

3

Choose Record now or Upload a file. For live recording, pick Ambient (consult) to capture a conversation with the patient, or Dictation (solo) for talking straight to the mic, then click Start recording.

4

Click Stop & process when done. The Processing Status stepper runs through Upload, Transcribe, Extract, and Generate.

5

Review the results: the full Transcript, the Extracted Clinical Data (editable before regenerating), and the Generated Documents — clinical note, referrer letter, and patient summary, with imaging requests and GP letters available on demand.

6

Click Edit in Notes to open the draft note in the editor, polish it, and save. AI-generated drafts are tagged “ai-generated” and listed under Outstanding Notes until finalised.

Exercise plans too

An AI session can also draft an exercise plan from what was discussed — generate it from the Exercise Plan section on the session page, or enable automatic drafting per practitioner under My Account → AI Exercise Plans.

Review before you sign

Transcription and generation are assistive. Always review the extracted data and the generated documents against your own recollection of the session before saving.
