By default Volition sends email through its own server. Connecting Outlook or Gmail sends from your own mailbox instead — so patient emails come from your real address and appear in your Sent folder.
Go to Settings → Integrations and open Outlook or Gmail.
Click the connect button and sign in with your Microsoft or Google account, granting Volition permission to send mail on your behalf. Both a personal connection (your account) and an organisation-wide connection are supported.
Go to Settings → Email Identities and set the Default email method to Microsoft Outlook or Gmail, then click Save.
Emails composed from patient records — letters, invoices, forms — now send through the connected mailbox.
If the connected account’s access expires or is revoked, the Email Identities page shows a “Selected provider is not connected” warning and sending falls back is blocked until you reconnect or switch the method back to SMTP.
